Giant robot angels are attacking Tokyo-3. Shinji the troubled Japanese teenager is in an even larger robot, Evangelion, to take out the aliens.

Waltz with Bashir

Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea
Japanese animation legend Hayao Miyazaki tells an amiably innocent story with great magical powers shining through his latest masterpiece. 

 

Sita Sings the Blues
Nina Paley’s award winning animated musical based on the Ramayana, the greatest break-up story ever told.

 

Idiots and Angels
This American cartoon noir tells the story of a reluctant bloke who accidentally grows wings but hates to be an angel, or to do any good whatsoever.

 

Competition Program
Thirty-two great animated short films from all across Europe come together to race for the Anilogue 2008 award.

World Panorama
Anilogue has compiled the world’s favorite animations from 2008, including gems like the Varmints, the Play-Doh Rabbits ad, or Bill Plympton’s brand new short film, the Hot Dog.
