The magic of handmade carpets is that each is unique,” says Magda Nagy, who started Aga’s in Budapest in 1992 after an adventurous career showing and selling carpets from Qatar to Singapore. “Each is handmade, each is different.”
That experience, around the world and 16 more years here in Budapest, has earned her the trust of many clients, who know that Magda matches price with quality, importing directly from small producers. Her partner in the business comes from a carpet-making family of Tajik origin, by way of Kashmir.
