Summer means the Girls and Mathematics crew is back with their infamous Wunder Bar parties. Haven’t heard of them? Where have you been for the last three years?!? These boys really know how to party with style and steer clear of the obvious party spots. They find the coolest funky, retro locations instead.
Wunder Bar parties are held fortnightly on the terrace of the Pántlika Bisztró in the City Park. From 8 p.m. ‘til 3 a.m., the parties bring a friendly crowd with one collective goal… to have fun.
And if that wasn’t enough to keep you happy in the hot months, there’s a new underground party coming together this summer. You could say it’s So HOT, since the Girls and Mathematics boys are teaming up with the So HOT Right Now girls.
Not only are the two best underground parties joining forces, but it will also be held at an exceptionally amazing venue. The location is a terrace of the ex-communist government villas right beside Lake Balaton, famous for hosting holiday guests such as Brezhnev, Mao Tse-Tung and Fidel Castro. Even the illustrious Italian mafia leader “Carlos” used to chill out on the same terrace thirty years ago. The villa is still in its original state, which will bring a real authentic retro feel to the event.
The party is called Beach Club Beach and starts on Saturday, June 28th in the afternoon, finishing Sunday at midday. There will be a live concert by The Go Betweens (an up and coming indie band from Budapest), two live acts from Jay Shepheard (Compost Black Label, UK) and Raw Hedroom (Firefly, UK), and DJ sets from Grasshop (Hypnosis), Soulrise (Mustbeat) and the Girls and Mathematics boys.
