The exhibition showcases the work of Zsuzsa Ökrös, a designer of the determining workshops of the socialist fashion guidance. Through her legacy, visitors can see the clothing of the era, the working structures of socialist fashion and the central buildings – including the Rag-Trade Designer Company, Special Clothes for Women Salon and the fashion salon of the Metropolitan Council Tailors by Measure.Visitors will also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the everyday socialist fashion from the Budapest History Museum and the Hungarian National Museum’s textile collections, as well as various items from private collections. From classics such as the loden-coat and the „mici hat” to the sheath gown and controversial miniskirt of the 60s and jersey ensembles of the 70s, all the styles are represented. See contemporary photos, newspaper articles and scenes from films in the „cloakroom.”
