2010 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth days of not one, but two excellent piano masters of the Romantic era.
Frédéric Chopin brought an utterly new color and style, a new breeze to piano music. His works are genius blends of feather-light sophistication and stormy and passion-packed feelings; the merging of Polish mazurkas with contemporary European musical culture. Virtuoso works need virtuoso performers. Adrienne Hauser, acknowledged by both the national and the international professional community as being the Chopin pianist, will lift your spirits with her enchanting performance. Besides Chopin’s mazurkas, nocturnes and waltzes, the evening will be shared with the breathtaking works of the composer’s good friend and colleague, Robert Schumann, Fantasy Pieces for Piano.
