Whether you’ve got a kid on the go, or one that still says goo-goo, Gogoo is the store for you. Founded by a mom, importing toys and clothes designed, in part, by moms. Toys created with development as well as fun in mind, toys made from wood or recycled plastic, clothes made of organic cotton – these are the things today’s parents want for their kids. And oh yeah, this stuff is COOL!

Check out the Automoblox modular wooden cars with tops and wheels in cool green, pink, blue or silver and slim robot-like people inside. Take ‘em apart, put ‘em back together – this is not your average toy car. Pick one up and you can see how safe and durable they are – or, like I did, just think how awesome they will look even when they’re littered across your living room.

How about a crocodile stepping stool for tooth-brushing time? An elephant that’s a chair or a seesaw? These Danish delights are so funky your kid will still be using them when she’s a teenager.

Speaking of adults, you don’t have to have kids to shop at Gogoo. They’ve got that must-have item – Uglydolls – they’re so ugly, they’re cute. And next on my wish-list is one of the Asian-inspired figurines with names like Pixie and Giggles. They’ve got a teeny spot where you can hide a secret note for one of your girlfriends. Sure wish I’d had one back when I was trying to pass notes in school.
But wait, I haven’t even mentioned the clothes. Here’s where I really wish they had adult sizes, because I would wear a t-shirt that says Enjoy Chocolate, wouldn’t you? Or Born to Be Spoiled, All Major Credit Cards Accepted. Or an orange t-shirt with a velour monkey on it, his legs protruding floppily from the bottom? Well, that last one I’ll save for my two-year-old son. But I’d sure like my whole family to be wearing organic cotton in bright colors made from soy-based dyes.
