At Solymár’s new pride, the Zazzi Pastry Shop, you can get hold of the most amazing French style specialities; concocted from fruits and chocolate, in piles, from melting ganaches and savoury mousses to divine creams. Besides these deliciously moreish (and surprisingly light) drops of heaven, you’ll find traditional, home-made pastries and well-known, Hungarian-style desserts – such as Dobos cake, Eszterházy cake or lúdláb – on the menu, all with an extra-classy twist. Their philosophy is to use only excellent, fresh ingredients, and, with the help of modern handicraft-like techniques, mix intricate flavors into delicious, visually and taste-budly pleasing desserts: the stuff looks like art. Although convincing yourself not to eat them on the spot may be nigh on impossible, a takeaway service is available and they provide catering services for special occasions.
