Printa Akadémia, a new crown jewel of Budapest’s bustling 7th district, is a multifunctional ‘concept store’, a combo of a gallery, a workshop academy, a store and a café.
Behind the cozy café, the gallery will be hosting exhibitions of local and international designers and artists alike. During its grand opening event on December 2nd, it’ll showcase the works of four Hungarian contemporary artists: the drawings and design products of János Sugár, Kamilla Szíj, Judit Fischer and Tomi Budha.
And if you fall in love with one of the gems of the exhibitions, you’ll have the chance to buy a limited edition copy series in their store, as well as pieces made during their workshops. Check out their safety belt bags or other re-cycled eco-design products.
Printa Akadémia aims to promote print and paper-based art to popularize eco-friendly design.
Their workshops provide an ideal forum for designers and artists to cooperate and share novel ideas in the field of environmentally-friendly, socially-aware art.
