Contemporary design on storage unit doors Euro Mini Storage to introduce seven young artists
Budapest, 8 July 2010 – The extraordinary art competition of mini storage facility operator Euro Mini Storage and MOME line – design works has been successfully closed. On Euro Mini’s street art day supporting young talents, finalists painted seven six-square-meter storage unit doors. At the event the jury selected the three best applicants as well.
More than fifty schemes made by students and alumni of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design were entered the competition launched in May by Euro Mini Storage and MOME line – design works. Euro Mini Storage rewards three of the seven plans realized. All the artworks painted on large unit doors overlooking the street will be given further coverage opportunities.
According to Danu M. Temelie, Managing Partner of Euro Mini Storage, “We believe it is essential for the representatives of the up-and-coming artist generation and young Hungarian design to have the opportunity to be introduced in unconventional places like city space, and to become available for everyone. With our contest, we not only support talent, but also would like to strengthen art’s community-shaping role in our everyday lives.”
The seven artworks on the large unit doors of Euro Mini’s building, selected by the students’ supporter organization MOME line – design works and the ministorage facility operator, can be visited by the general public from Thursday evening at 50 Gyáli Road near the M5 junction, Budapest.
