For three months the festival season comes to Margaret Island and the Városmajor Open Air Stage creating a truly festive milieu. Enjoy theatrical productions as well as musical and dance performances out under the trees.
This year, a new stage has been added among the ruins of the Margaret Island Convent. Throughout the summer, there will be a continuous stream of great programs to choose from. New additions include the Scarlet Pimpernel Musical and several new operas, while long-time favorites Dracula the musical and the 100 Member Gypsy Band will return to eager audiences. Enjoy an evening of Gershwin with Eszter Horgas and György Vukán, Love Rhapsody, on June 22nd at the Varosmajor Open-Air Stage, or see Lionel Bart’s adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic, Oliver! on the Margaret Island Open-Air Stage on June 27th and 28th.
