WAMP, the Hungarian Design Market, moves inside from November, into Gödör, to welcome everyone on chillier November and December Sundays.
The market offers diverse, innovative, contemporary local design, from around 100 designers, and provides the opportunity to meet designers themselves. Music and animation will feature in November, hence the name of the event, WAMPLITUDE, with animation projections by Sofita and chillout music from DJ Keyser. The WAMP children’s corner will be all set for the little designers of the future to express their creativity, too, while bigger kids can get cultured and stock up on the newest Hungarian design products and books.
WAMP colligates over 450 selected designers, presenting a wide range of products spanning jewelry, textiles, footwear, design objects, ceramics, glassware, children’s toys and games and culinary design products, and pays special attention to supporting young, emerging designers. To motivate new, promising talents, WAMP, in cooperation with Finlandia, recently awarded two upcoming designers, Márton Strohner and István Esztány, for their innovative collections. Both freshly graduated, they showcased complex, fresh collections during Design Week Budapest’s special WAMP edition, for which they received a prize worth 80,000 HUF.
