A long time ago, commie pioneers came here to buy new school uniforms, but now this is the reddest and coolest bar in town, with concerts, parties and an open-air roof terrace in summertime.
Head to the 4th floor of the former state department store and check out Roma folk night with Szilvásy Gipsy Folk Band on Mondays, Rewind with Zsolt Palotai and DJ Cadik on Wednesdays, rotating live concerts on Thursdays and an elektrofunk Deck Attack on Fridays. Or choose something else, from jazz, folk, experimental rock and hip-hop concerts to Jewish and South American nights with international guests. On April 24th be sure to catch Lisa Fischer and Blondie Chaplin from the Rolling Stones Band. Then on the 28th get groovy to JZA & The Fantastik Four. Finally, on May 3rd it’s “Punk goes Disco” night with the Anima Sound System DJs.
