Budapest’s recurring English language literary event, the Bardroom, is seeking acts for the New Year.
The evenings have their origins in a poetry picnic held in the city park in 1999, and have since expanded into a regular (monthly or so) affair. The aim’s to showcase local, English speaking talents in the fields of poetry, prose and music, and standards are consistently high. Three main acts feature each night, accompanied by an open poetry competition and often a quiz. A communal trip to a local bar usually follows.
