Sample as much of Buddhism as you fancy, at the Budapest BuddhaFeszt. It’ll be a week-long presentation and celebration of Buddhism.
Iincluding an exhibition exploring its heritage (until midnight on Saturday and 8 p.m. every other day), as well as lectures every evening, spanning Buddhism in the 21st century, art, business principles, partnership and love. Lama Ole Nydahl (who established more than 600 Buddhist centers worldwide) will also be speaking – December 19th at 2 p.m. and 20th at 3 p.m., 1,500 HUF.
Lama Ole Nydahl is one of the few Westerners fully-qualified as a lama and meditation teacher in the Karma Kagyu Buddhist tradition. In 1969, he and his wife, Hannah, became the first Western students of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje – one of the century’s greatest yogis and head of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. They then completed intensive studies and training in the Himalayas and brought Tibetan Buddhism to the West.
A huge party will also be bringing Buddhism bang into the new millennium!

10 p.m.: Closing speech – Caty Hartung and Lama Ole Nydahl
10:30 p.m.: FreQ Nasty breakbeat pioneer pushing boundaries with his music and social activism.
DEK / Dynamic Ego Killaz an assault against the ego with the full force of breakbeat, drums and bass and dubstep.
Lama Ole Nydahl’s lectures will be given at Körcsarnok Sports Hall all other events will be at Gödör Klub.
