The hotel provides its visitors with newspapers, magazines and literature in a number of languages for visitors to enrich their literary interests. The Bibliotek Lounge of Sofitel Budapest Maria Dorottya offers a wide assortment of aromatic teas and specialty coffees as well as tasty homemade pastries to satisfy mind, body and soul.
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-7 p.m., a string trio performs in the lounge, with a special champagne bar. All are welcome to enjoy these fine musical evenings.
One of the most significant Hungarian poets, Attila József was born on April 11th, 1905. In his honor, the National Day of Poetry falls on his birthday each year. The poet spent an important part of his life in Paris, influenced by his French contemporaries, and was even published there. Sofitel has translated copies of his famous poems available to read in the Bibliotek Lounge.
