One of the most popular places on Margaret Island, Holdudvar will open its doors again on April 18th. You can expect the same well-known high standard from the venue functioning as a club, restaurant, art gallery and garden movie theater.
Thanks to reconstruction completed over the winter, guests can enjoy a new gallery and a new indoor dance floor as well. The open-air restaurant has been enlarged, but will continue to serve the same fine Hungarian and international cuisine that visitors loved in previous years.
The old building of the Casino and the spacious garden beside it combine to a new, but still uniquely bright spot in the culturally entertaining life of Budapest. This means a great opportunity for Holdudvar to expand even further. Apart from running a high-standard restaurant and a bar too (with a grill-kitchen at night), with its open-air rooms, Holdudvar can host even larger events and open-air programs.
Every night a different DJ will entertain guests with a truly wide variety of styles, and frequent live concerts will mix things up even more. Friday nights will see regular concerts by the Rieger Attila Jazz Trio.
The gallery awaits visitors with the newest, most contemporary works of art, while the little movie screen in the garden provides a fantastic, relaxed environment to enjoy the world’s best films. Fashion shows, literary nights, and events hosted by cultural and civil organizations will supplement the already wide offering, bringing all things cultural to the venue.
The first exhibition of the season to occupy the gallery will be in cooperation with the kArton Gallery. It will be open from April 18th to May 14th and will introduce the works of promising young Hungarian painters. Throughout the summer, Holdudvar will work together with other known galleries of Budapest including the Boulevard&Brezsnyev and Godot galleries.
