Children’s Railway

One of Hungary’s most unique railways is the forest line connecting Széchenyi Hill and Hűvösvölgy: since 1948, you will only meet children on the board and at the ticket offices. Of course, this is not the only reason the trip promises to be a perfect family program, as the railway offers stunning panoramic views of the Buda Hills from several points along the route, and the autumn forest also makes the journey breathtaking. At Hűvösvölgy, it is well worth visiting the free Children’s Railway Museum, where an interactive exhibition and miniature models make the waiting time more enjoyable.
