I mean, who wouldn’t adore amusement parks? They are fun, colourful, and never get boring. Sadly Hungary is not amongst those countries, that have huge theme parks or world-famous roller coasters. But that is something we can forgive, since our neighbours have a plethora of amazing amusement parks. We collected the five bests, that surely will go straight to your bucket list.
Spain, PortAventura World
Only one hour from Barcelona by car, or even by train, since this amusement park is so frequented it has its own train station. No doubt why: the five “worlds”, that are inspired by five countries, are full of attractions that amuse everyone from the age of 2 till 82.
This lake in the Northern Italy is worth visiting, if not for the amazing landscape or the various outdoor opportunities, then for Gardaland. The biggest and most famous amusement park of Italy, includes a kick-ass water park as well, that attracts tourist from all over the world.
England, Pleasure Beach Blackpool
The name might be suspicious, however it covers the islands most frequented theme park. This one, close to Liverpool won multiple records over the past few decades. It is the home of the biggest amounts of roller coasters (10, from which 5 are wooden), for example.
This is the future of theme parks. Futuroscope is equipped with super modern technologies and high tech games. And also, its look is a must see for the lovers of minimalism and modern architecture.
The Prater is so close and so easy to reach from Budapest, it would be a sin not visiting it. It looks back to a long history, nowadays it is famous for the incredible number of attractions placed there. It is not only for adrenalin-lovers through, sightseeing takes a day as well.
