Sziklakórház / Hospital in the rock

Discover in person the extraordinary and until 2002 top secret history of the Hospital in the Rock – a WWII underground hospital beneath the Buda Castle turned into a nuclear bunker in the Cold War era. As you walk through the rooms untouched since the 1960s, see there the approx. 200 life-like wax figures, the original furniture and equipment, you could experience a very unique atmosphere and the historic events of World War II, the revolution of 1956 and the Cold War era from a different angle.
In our most recent exhibition you could also see the current situation of military medicine through the life-saving actions of the Special Forces Units.
