We opened our doors to dear fellow travelers 22 years ago in 1992 as BACKPACK GUESTHOUSE, at that time we were the only hostel in Budapest. After two decades in 2012 we made a complete renovation and with the birth of the new house came a new name SHANTEE HOUSE. Attila in the early years of his life fell in love with backpacking and followed his dreams to create this beautiful home to share with those who choose to walk on the same path. The design of the house has been inspired from Attila’s travels AROUND THE WORLD, especially from Asia.
