Aquincum Museum and Archaeological Park

The Aquincum Museum stands on top of the 2000-year-old ancient Roman settlement in present-day Budapest. Budapest is the only European capital with such an extensive excavated Roman provincial town that is open to the public. We offer a detailed but accessible exhibition of life in the Roman provinces and our temporary exhibitions present some of the most intriguing artefacts of the museum’s vast collections. For our younger visitors we also provide a number of exciting interactive virtual games.
