The now ten-day long event series focuses on spreading the culture of love through a number of various arts and free-to-attend programmes. See the sacred in a secular environment, traditions in a new light, and contemporary works of art in ancient locations.
Visitors can pick and choose from more than 600 events (ranging from literature nights and theatrical performances to film screenings, architecture talks, exhibitions, guided tours, and children’s programmes) held in a 110 villages, towns and cities across the country. Musical performers of the festival include Gergely Bogányi pianist, Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra and Márta Sebestyén folk vocalist. Moreover, on 16 September, the Ars Sacra Festival will also host the Day of Open Churches, inviting the masses behind the doors of 120 places of worship all over Hungary.
