Eat This: Newest Joints You Must Visit

Here we go again: summer is right around the corner and Budapest appears to be even more exciting than ever! If you feel like discovering the newest joints, here’s a list of what you shouldn’t miss out on!

Vágódeszka

Located right next to downtown Pest’s main hipster hangout-slash-art cinema Toldi Klub, Vágódeszka puts sausage in the limelight. The meaty wonder comes in all shapes, varieties and sizes: the Robuci sandwich, for example, looks like a gourmet hamburger, then there’s the juicy Provence grilled sausage, and exciting culinary peculiarities such as the chicken sausage. As for sides, you can ask for the classic mustard-pickles combo, but we’d also like to suggest you try Vágódeszka’s very own ratatouille-like ajvar condiment.

Typo Bár

This bar-gallery-showroom is situated at the back corner of legendary Corvin Department Store, close to the Party District but far enough to stay unique, awaiting you with an abundance of Berlin coolness everywhere you turn. Having opened in the middle of May, Typo is already a buzzing hub of Budapest’s underground fashion, art and music scene, as the vintage clothing shop hosts not just great exhibitions, but awesome parties as well. Besides emptying your wallet on chic items, you can also stuff your belly full with delicious breakfast bites or a hearty lunch deal during the day.
