’Don’t play with your food’ – I can still hear my grandma saying it to me at the dinner table when I was just trying to be creative. I still think though that food can be your canvas with which you can create art. I’ll show you a convincing example.
Gaku, a creative Japenese artist, brought back one of Japan’s oldest traditions, the mukimono – it means food decoration which gained popularity in sixteenth century’s Japan. Gaku started to post his carvings on Instagram, and became popular very soon.
