Bodies: The Exhibition in Budapest From 15 February

The well-known Bodies: The Exhibition is coming to Budapest this February. The size of the exhibition displaying the amazing human body is exceptional Europe-wide: it allows the visitors to see more than 200 actual human bodies and specimens. This rich exhibition material hasn’t yet been seen in the continent.

BODIES: The Exhibition offers an intimate and informative view into the human body. Using an innovative preservation process, the Exhibition allows visitors to see the human body’s inner beauty in educational and awe-inspiring ways. The skeletal system, the muscles, the respiratory organs and the body’s circulation are revealed. 3D screens and other documents help the visitors understand what happens in our body during working out, office hours and relaxation.

A specific display introduces the developing of the human fetus, whereas the Hungarians in Worldwide Medicine honors some of Hungary’s scientists.

Many objects exhibited might be shocking to the visitors, as among others a cancerous liver and a heavy smoker’s black lungs are unrevealed at the exhibition.

Although an experience as such may be unpleasant, it makes us see where an unhealthy lifestyle leads us to.

In the focus of the exhibition there is prevention and the importance of daily exercise. Therefore, the organizers created the Hungarians for the Daily Exercise social joint that is supported by some highly acknowledged people such as László Cseh, Éva Szentesi, Pál Győrfi and Kristóf Steiner.

In all of the rooms there are qualified medical students answering the arising questions of the visitors, but it is also possible to learn CPR and for school groups to participate in a guided tour.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Hungarian Red Cross.

The BODIES: The Exhibition is displayed in KOMPLEX (1061 Budapest, Király utca 26.) until July 2018.
