We are proud to present some of the honourable pioneers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-funzine-large wp-image-339045\" src=\"https:\/\/funzine.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/agriculture-bottles-close-up-2505705-850x567.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"567\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Szimpla h\u00e1zt\u00e1ji<\/h3>\n<p>Opened in 2013, Szimpla H\u00e1zt\u00e1ji provides tasty and healthy foods and other delicacies sourced freshly from Szimpla farmers\u2019 market. They pay special attention to sustainability: they don\u2019t use disposable plates and cutlery, and emphasize their attention to detail, taps don\u2019t drip, for instance.<\/p>\n<p>szimpla.eu<\/p>\n<h3>Good Karma<\/h3>\n<p>Inspired by modern Indian gastronomy, <strong>Good Karma<\/strong> is a fast-casual brand operating as a conscious business in District II. It\u2019s an eco-friendly place where meat lovers, vegetarians, vegans, and people seeking to live gluten-free can all find healthy options. Their motto: \u201cSuccess is measured by the positive impact that we have on our world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/goodkarma.hu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">goodkarma.hu<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Arriba Taqueria<\/h3>\n<p>In 2008, Arriba Taqueria was one of the first restaurants in Budapest to utilize environmentally-friendly packaging and recycling bins. Whenever possible, the chain of gourmet Mexican taquerias uses environmentally safe materials \u2013 including cardboard to-go packaging \u2013 while actively promoting the importance of recycling and eco-friendly packaging. In 2018, the chain recycled over 8 300 kg of paper, glass and plastic. Recently, Arriba added EcoHills disposable straws made from vegetable raw materials.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.arriba.hu\">arriba.hu<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-funzine-large wp-image-339047\" src=\"https:\/\/funzine.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Arriba-K\u00c9PCSERE-850x546.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"546\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>BBZ bar &amp; grill\u2019s<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Located close to De\u00e1k Ferenc t\u00e9r, BBZ bar &amp; grill\u2019s team also takes social responsibility very seriously. Not only do they support certain charity organizations like WWF, from time to time they organize events promoting the importance of sustainable business practices and participates in the annually organized Earth Hour to raise attention to climate change. Completely plastic-free!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bbzbar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bbzbar.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Krak\u2019n Town<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The steampunk gastro pub, Krak\u2019n Town doesn\u2019t use palm oil and disposable plastic plates or tools either. The only available straws are made of PLA (plan-based plastic). They work solely with consumer safe, eco-friendly cleaning products, and beer is stored in reusable plastic containers. What else could be their motto: \u201cSave the Earth, it\u2019s the only planet with beer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.krakntown.com\">www.krakntown.com<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Placc Caf\u00e9<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Just a stone\u2019s throw away from Szent Gell\u00e9rt t\u00e9r you\u2019ll find <strong>Placc Caf\u00e9<\/strong>, a coffee oasis where sustainable ideas are just as important as your morning caffeine dose. When it comes to food, they attempt to minimalize their economic footprint by sourcing ingredients from the closest farms possible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pg\/placccafe\/photos\/?tab=album&amp;album_id=1043302285730918&amp;ref=page_internal\">fb\/placccafe<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-funzine-large wp-image-339049\" src=\"https:\/\/funzine.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/21414643_1551400931587715_1305012025559910095_o-850x567.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"567\"
