This year\u2019s Art Nouveau Day in Budapest is full of exciting events.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every year since 2013, on a Hungarian\u00a0 initiative, we celebrate World Art Nouveau Day in June to honour this unique art scene of the turn of the century. This year, the theme of the event, proposed by the R\u00e9seau Art Nouveau Network, an international organisation for the popularization of Art Nouveau, is s<\/strong>taircases<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A special event of the program series is a free temporary exhibition dedicated to architect Albert K\u00e1lm\u00e1n K\u0151r\u00f6ssy, which will be displayed on the opening day (15 June) near City Park in R\u00e1th Gy\u00f6rgy Villa. The institution\u2019s permanent exhibition, \u201eArt Nouveau \u2013 a Hungarian Perspective\u201d<\/strong> will also be open for tourists who can admire the rich collection while taking part in a guided tour.<\/p>\n

On the occasion of World Art Nouveau Day, we can participate in a 2-hour city walk \u201eThe Gems of Budapest\u201d<\/strong> showing us the most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings near Andr\u00e1ssy Avenue.<\/p>\n

Starting at 1 PM guests can also watch the documentary \u201eArt Nouveau without Borders\u201d<\/strong> in the institution.<\/p>\n

The entry to all mentioned events is free of charge but subject to registration at the website<\/a> of the museum.<\/p>\n

The project is realised as part of the Danube Transnational Programme, with the financial support of the European Union Funds and the Hungarian government.<\/p>\n
