This dreamy scene is actual reality, and you can experience it at Rosalia Festival! Between 11-13 May, City Park (V\u00e1rosliget) will become a haven for wine lovers with its more than 50 winemaker stands. As it\u2019s the time of the year when nature wears its nicest attire, the countryside surroundings will be as tranquil as they can be. Borb\u00e9ly Winery<\/h3>\n

The Badacsony landscape, the vines, the love of and respect for the wine have been present in the life of the Borb\u00e9ly family for decades. Since the beginnings, the winery has put special emphasis on traditional winemaking. The talented winemakers (such as Tam\u00e1s Borb\u00e9ly, multiple nominee for Winemaker of the Year 2012-2017) embrace mainly white wine varieties, which are characteristic of the region, on their 23-hectare vineyard. Using both modern and traditional technologies, Borb\u00e9ly Winery produces fresh wines such as its B\u00f3bita sparkling wine and Kinnagangon pinot noir ros\u00e9, but offers more unique, rich flavoured wines too. The latter is represented in the vinery\u2019s K\u00e9knyel\u0171, B\u00e1cs-hegy Olaszrizling, Sz\u00fcrkebar\u00e1t, and R\u00f3zsak\u0151 wines. The special wine selection is inspired by the family\u2019s motto: \u201cFiery wine, volcanic taste\u201d.<\/p>\n

Having seen the development of wine tourism and the importance of personal contact with consumers, Borb\u00e9ly Winery opened its own wine and guest house. In the cosy guesthouse surrounded by vineyards, which can host up to 12 people, the wine lovers may take a rest after the wine tasting sessions all year round.<\/p>\n

Hilltop Winery<\/h3>\n

The 2017 vintage was a great opportunity for chief winemaker \u00c1kos Kamocsay to make excellent wines. Kamocsay Premium Wines were made with healthy, ripe fruit, including the creamy and mellow ros\u00e9 filtered from pinot noir, which can be tasted at this year’s Rosalia Festival. This elegant ros\u00e9 wine is the ultimate beverage for the lovers of intensive fruity flavours.<\/p>\n

The wines of the Kamocsay Premium selection are made of grapes from the best vineyards of the Neszm\u00e9lyi wine region. The fruit yield limitation, manual harvest, decades long experience and modern technology together guarantee the high quality viticulture of Hilltop Winery. The wine varieties mainly bear the characteristics of a certain vineyard, the most of which are facing north, to the Danube. Besides the breathtaking view, the air flow coming from the riverside creates a unique microclimate that further improves the already outstanding quality of the wines.<\/p>\n

Tiff\u00e1n’s Winery<\/h3>\n

Tiff\u00e1n’s Winery, which is based in Vill\u00e1ny, Hungary\u2019s southernmost wine region, provides wine aficionados with posh ros\u00e9s and fruity red wines. If you happen to be a regular visitor of the country\u2019s wine festivals, you have probably known the Vill\u00e1ny region and its Tiff\u00e1n’s wines. At Rosalia Festival you\u2019ll have a chance to taste them again (or for the first time) in a welcoming environment.<\/p>\n

The Tiff\u00e1n family has been producing fine wines since 1746. Ede Tiff\u00e1n, the founder of the company was named the Winemaker of the Year in 1991, and he earned a lifetime achievement award this year. The new generation of winemakers includes Gabi Tiff\u00e1n, Zsolt Tiff\u00e1n Jr. and his fianc\u00e9e Beatrix who are more than happy to show you the winery\u2019s spicy red wines, the fruity 2017 Ros\u00e9 Cuv\u00e9e and the newcomer RedY, a light and easy-to-drink red blend. The Cuv\u00e9e Carissimae 2013 will also be in the City Park with an incredible story behind its production.<\/p>\n

G\u00e1l Vineyards and Winery<\/h3>\n

There are two wine regions that provide high-quality resources for G\u00e1l Vinery, situated 25 kilometres from the capital, in Szigetcs\u00e9p. 66-hectare vineyards in Szigetcs\u00e9p, Szigetszentm\u00e1rton and Sziget\u00fajfalu \u2013 all three towns are part of Kuns\u00e1gi wine region \u2013 yield wine varieties such as Rajnai rizling, Cserszegi f\u0171szeres and K\u00e9kfrankos. G\u00e1l Winery also manages a territory of 10-hectare vineyards on the hills of Lesencefalu, in Balaton Uplands that boasts Olaszrizling, Sz\u00fcrkebar\u00e1t, Chardonnay and Cabernet sauvignon.<\/p>\n

At Rosalia Festival the G\u00e1l family\u2019s two rookie wines will be launched for the first time: a Cabernet sauvignon ros\u00e9 from the Balaton Uplands area and a sparkling wine (a blend of Sz\u00fcrkebar\u00e1t and Ezerj\u00f3) from Szigetcs\u00e9p. The winery will bring a selection of 2017 ros\u00e9 wines to the festival too, including K\u00e9kfrankos, Zweigelt, Pinot noir, Szent M\u00e1rton and Cabernet sauvignon. Additionally, G\u00e1l Winery\u2019s white and ros\u00e9 wines has been awarded on two international wine competitions this year, and their winemaker, \u00c9va G\u00e1ln\u00e9 Dignisz was the first woman to win the Winemaker of the Year award in 2013.<\/p>\n

D\u00fazsi Family Winery<\/h3>\n

Former road-cyclist Tam\u00e1s D\u00fazsi is an active consultant winemaker and viticulturist from the Szeksz\u00e1rd wine region mostly known for its full-bodied, spicy reds. A more than 3,3-hectare K\u00e9kfrankos (the most dominant grape in the region) vineyard belongs to the family-operated winery that produces wines out of 400 tonnes of grapes every year. Their quality assortment includes more than 25 different types of white, red and ros\u00e9 wine, of which several took home prizes and medals from large-scale, nationally and internationally recognized wine competitions in the past years. Tam\u00e1s D\u00fazsi\u2019s winery specializes at K\u00e9kfrankos, K\u00e9kfrankos-based blended wines and ros\u00e9 wine with exotic, fruity aromas. Vars\u00e1nyi Winery<\/h3>\n

This family winery manages a territory of 90 hectares, including the greatest vineyards of the Aldebr\u0151-Egerszal\u00f3k area such as \u00d6reghegy, Kir\u00e1lyi and Cinege. Since 2014 chief vintner Istv\u00e1n Patai has been making wine for Vars\u00e1nyi Pinc\u00e9szet with great care and enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

Ever since the beginnings, their mission is to establish a modern winery that merges the traditions of the Eger wine region with up-to-date technology. Although the first remarkable accomplishment came after the refinement of the Debr\u0151i H\u00e1rslevel\u0171 wine, the winery is famous for its high-quality ros\u00e9 wines which they have been producing since the \u201890s. Their latest wine collection called Vars\u00e1nyi Grand Selection launched in May, 2017 and contains limited edition premium wines made of grapes from the vinery\u2019s best vineyards. Vars\u00e1nyi Winery is awaiting all wine lovers at Rosalia Festival!<\/p>\n

Gancia Champagne House<\/h3>\n

The first Italian champagne makes every day festive. The Piedmont-based winery was established in 1850 and it is now one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Gancia has become one of the most significant wineries in Italy, making 16 different types of champagne with a majority of DOCG products. It is thought to be the symbol of Italian lifestyle and celebration.<\/p>\n

Apart from the light Prosecco, Gancia provides fruity ros\u00e9, sweet Asti and dry Brut so that everyone can find their favourite. In 1980, a descendant of the Gancia family launched the Pinot di Pinot selection that includes Brut and ros\u00e9 champagnes, the classic Italian aperitifs.<\/p>\n

You either have a glass of prosecco with your colleagues after work, or drink aperitif before a family dinner, Gancia will be by your side in the greatest moments of your life.
