fark\u00e1nak.\u201d<\/strong> means: She\u2019s as happy as a monkey about his tail.<\/p>\n<p>Hungarians use it instead of \u201cShe\u2019s jumping for joy.\u201d term.<\/p>\n<p>2.<strong> \u201eKicsire nem adunk!\u201d<\/strong> means \u201eSomething so small doesn&#8217;t count.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The real meaning is: It doesn&#8217;t matter.<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>\u201cMi\u00e9rt itatod az egereket?\u201d\u00a0<\/strong> means \u201eWhy are you giving drinks to the mice?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We ask this when we want to know why somebody is crying.<\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>\u201eAnnyit \u00e9r, mint halottnak a cs\u00f3k.\u201d<\/strong> means literally \u201eIt\u2019s worth as much as a kiss to a dead person\u201d We use it to say: \u201cIt\u2019s not worth the effort.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>5 \u201c<strong>Az Isten h\u00e1ta m\u00f6g\u00f6tt.\u201d<\/strong> means \u201eBehind God\u2019s back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In English it would be \u201eFar, far away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: n\u00e9lk\u00fcl.\u201d<\/strong> manss \u201eThere is no rose without thorns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It means that nothing is perfect.<\/p>\n<p>7. <strong>\u201cKuty\u00e1b\u00f3l nem lesz szalonna.\u201d<\/strong> means: \u201eYou can\u2019t make bacon out of a dog.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The English suitable is \u201cOnce a thief, always a thief.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>8 <strong>\u201cKeny\u00e9rre lehet kenni.\u201d<\/strong> means \u201eYou can spread him on bread.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hungarians use this term when they think about somebody to be a good-hearted person.<\/p>\n<p>9. \u00a0<strong>\u201eA hazug embert hamarabb utol\u00e9rik, mint a s\u00e1nta kuty\u00e1t.\u201d<\/strong> means \u201eThey catch up with a liar sooner than with a limping dog.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The real are the least likely to take action.<\/p>\n<p>11. <strong>\u201cMajd ha piros h\u00f3 esik!\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 means \u201eWhen red snow falls!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hungarians use this expression when they want to say \u201eWhen pigs fly\u201d<\/p>\n<p>12. <strong>\u201eB\u00e1mul, mint borj\u00fa az \u00faj kapura.\u201d<\/strong> means: \u201eHe stares at the new gate as a calf.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The real meaning is somebody merely looks at something without taking action.<\/p>\n<p>13. <strong>\u201eNem esik messze az alma a f\u00e1j\u00e1t\u00f3l.\u201d<\/strong> means \u201eThe apple falls close to its tree.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The real meaning is that a children often follow the example of their parents in their behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>14. \u00a0<strong>\u201cNem kolb\u00e1szb\u00f3l van a ker\u00edt\u00e9s.\u201d<\/strong> means \u201eThe fence is not made from sausage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And what the Hungarians really want to say: \u201cIt\u2019s not as good as you think.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>15.\u00a0 <strong>\u201cEz nekem k\u00ednai.\u201d<\/strong> means \u201eIt\u2019s Chinese for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s like the English \u201cIt\u2019s all Greek to
