Győr, the Town Of Rivers Awaits You With the European Youth Olympic Festival

This year’s prestigious European Youth Olympic Festival is organized by the sport- affectionate town of Győr between 23 and 29 July. The biennial event that first took place in Brussels in 1991, aims to present the spirit and organizing principles of the Olympic Games to young athletes between the age of 14 and 18, offering them a chance to make achievements on an international level.

This is also a great opportunity for them to take a significant step in their career, making the EYOF a really important milestone in their life. Young athletes will compete in 10 sports. In addition to the original tournaments (basketball, handball, tennis, swimming, judo, volleyball, cycling, athletics, gymnastics) with regards to Hungary’s reputation, kayak canoe has been selected as an extra sport in Győr.
