Magazine Archives
I totally agree with Andrew. There was a section till last year with all the places\Towns in Hungary to be seen and completed with maps and all the needed infos! It was awesome and I really got disappointed when it has been removed. If someone can please post, even online, and even better if there is a separate link for it, an archive for all the posts on that section which helped me and would help me more on visiting the whole country. I really think that was one of the best part of the magazine. |

Looking for a nice place for that special dinner? Our restaurant reviews may give you some good tips. Check out Intenzo, for example with its pleasant interior and calming, charming garde. |

Sushi in Budapest?
Hello, I would like to introduce a famous restaurant in Budapest, Liszt Ferenc square 9. Café Miró Grande restaurant is located in the heart of Budapest. I think Café Miró Grande's chef prepared the best Hungarian dishes in Budapest, for example Goulas soup, 'Lecsó', etc. Don't miss it, when you visit the beautiful city of Budapest. http://www.cafemiro.hu/grande/ |

Hello, I could really recommend Café Miró Grande restaurant for everybody. Fresh and delicious food, polite service and pleasant atmosphere - for reasonable price... Actually, I have been at the Café Miró Grande with my friends recently, and we had the opportunity to taste the best wines with the best foods according to Hungarian traditions. We had really good impressions on the Hungarian cuisine and hospitality. The foods were fresh and delicious, the waiters were polite as well. You can check the pleasant atmosphere of this place under http://www.cafemiro.hu/grande/ . Don't miss it, when you visit the beautiful city of Budapest. Best Regards, |

Also, there's vatera.hu, again you should look at 'bútor' or 'lakberendezés'. And most obviously you could try ebay, there must many BP offers up there too. Or.......wait'till the next round of 'LOMTALANÍTÁS'comes your way ;) Lot's of luck! |

Second-hand furniture/affordable furniture
Hi. I've just moved to Budapest into a mostly-furnished apartment...the only thing I need is a desk/table that could be used as a desk. I am fully aware that IKEA is nearby (and will shop there if necessary), but didn't know if there were any known used/second-hand furniture shops around?! It doesn't seem as though people use Craigslist here...but is there another popular website for selling belongings? Thanks, Taylor |

Props to all who went through the trouble and held their bikes high on MARGIT HÍD last week...I couldn't be there but am fully suportive of any and all initiatives that aim to end the dispicable cycling conditions generally accepted in BP currently. AND the way the council keeps on brushing us off...no good! |

I agree, it IS quite a strange name for a hospitality venue...let's assume that the unlikely name was chosen to represent the uniqueness of the place.......hmmm, now I too am interested in talking to someone who's actually BEEN there :))) |

Well, while still living in Laaaandaawn, I was chased and forced to stop by 2 cyclist cops demanding to know why I jumped a red light a little further back...they let me go after some of the ol' good-cop / bad-cop routine. So: at least that hasn't happened to me here...yet! I've heard police are going to keep an extra-vigilante eye on 2-wheeled troublemakers...ehhhhh! |

Do you ride a bike to work? Or do you like to ride around the downtown bars on your grandma's trusty (if rusty) metal steed? Biking is the new black, and nowhere is this more appearant than in smelly ol' BP. I confess: I've been a bike-addict for many years, and prefer life on 2 wheels to nealy all other forms of transport (ok, the odd lear jet is still in the race..) If you ride a bike in BP, tell us about your expreiences, or even if you don't, I'm interested in your opinion...come'on then! |
