Looking for a nice place for that special dinner? Our restaurant reviews may give you some good tips. Check out Intenzo, for example with its pleasant interior and calming, charming garde.

Hello,

I could really recommend Café Miró Grande restaurant for everybody.

Fresh and delicious food, polite service and pleasant atmosphere - for reasonable price...

Actually, I have been at the Café Miró Grande with my friends recently, and we had the opportunity to taste the best wines with the best foods according to Hungarian traditions. We had really good impressions on the Hungarian cuisine and hospitality. The foods were fresh and delicious, the waiters were polite as well. You can check the pleasant atmosphere of this place under http://www.cafemiro.hu/grande/ .

Don't miss it, when you visit the beautiful city of Budapest.

 Best Regards,

Random Serbian-inspired food-pick: Have you ever tried Pjeskavica (I hope I'm spelling this right..)? It's basically the Serbian answer to hamburgers...much spicier though!

Well, I ordered one each at two of my fav BP pubs, Castro and Jelen, and have to now confess that the Jelen version won hands down!

For approx. the same price, it came in a freshly baked roll, with planty of garnish and 'ajvár' which is a delicious, spicy cream to go with the meat...superb! Oh, it was also about double the size of the humble attempt by Castro. Try!!

Kőleves is cool, have you tried their new garden? Looks like a kindergarten :)))

They have grilled dishes out in the open, which is fresh, but I didn't find the portions too decent, especially considering the price. Not cheap at all. Also, for desert, I had a cake that could be easily used against riot policy...let's just say it ROCKed, hihihi..

For me its Déryné / Mini, or Kőleves (Stonesoup) if you're looking for a more informal vibe.. And for falafel you really need to try these guys in Kertész street (sorry, forgot the name), just opposite Szimpla: 600 HUF for a FRESH and TASTY falafel sandwich, nice!

I've been to really nice Italian job, near Erzsébet / Deák tér (I never know which is which anyway :))) Funky interior, fresh-fresh pasta, salads, pizzas + the usual Italian suspects. Cool service too: you get a little credit card, they charge everything on that, and you pay in the end...just make sure your credit is maxed up, not maxed out :D

Now, what was the name again.......something pretty Italian....

The best one I've been to is Nefrit in Buda, 1124 Budapest, Apor Vilmos tér 4. But I've heard good things about Wang Mester Konyhaja,

1096 Budapest, Telepy utca 24. Let me know if you go!

Agree! I would add Shalimar as my favourite Indian restaurant; Café Kör as French/Hungarian and very stylish one on Sas street.

If you want to eat traditional Hungarian food at a traditional milieu go to Makk 7 to Buda on Németvölgyi...

Absolutely. A good restaurant or the BEST restaurant? I highly recommend Ristorante Da Pippo on Andrassy ut as a very decent and fund place for an excellent Itallian, Indigo or Taj Mahal for amazing Indian and the BEST: Cafe Bouchon on Zichy Jeno utca to get the best Hungarian/French cousine Budapest has to offer. Have fun!!!

Hi all, what's your favourite restaurant and why? There's a lot here in Budapest, and I don't have a clue where to go. Priorities: good food (can be any, like Hun, Italian, fusion, vega etc.), good price, downtown. Hmm?
