Masquerade party in elegant Keszthely! Don your disguise and compete in the costume contest for fantastic prizes. Dress warmly and take to the streets with almost 3,000 other people to watch a parade of colorful kites, fantastic floats, hussars on horseback, the Carnival King and Queen, national wine knights, folk dancers, folk singers, stiltwalkers, clowns, gladiators and mysterious masked men. Then join the procession for tea, mulled wine, fresh “farsangi fánk” (doughnuts, mmm) and that festival favorite, lard on toast, topped with a Masquerade Ball at the Helikon Museum at the fancy Festetics Palace!
